Paige Turner-Uribe’s San Gabriel a la Mode (2024) features a landscape view from Griffith Park on the east side of Los Angeles. The San Gabriel Mountains have a dusting of snow on top of them which is highlighted by the reflection of the sunset. The haze and pollution present a contradiction familiar to anyone in Los Angeles. Though they indicate a deteriorated air quality, they provide a beautiful sunset that reflects off the many glass buildings.
