OHAN BREIDING

OHAN BREIDINGZEIT

September 22, 2023 - January 14, 2024
Kunsthaus Zürich

The journey through the history of time brings together paintings, videos and films, installations, performances and watchmaking. The works and objects testify to the fleeting nature of life, tell of the changing seasons and opportunities to pause, as well as the global financial market, which is now clocked in trillionths of a second. A multi-layered carpet, which illuminates, among other things, historical, paleontological and physical perspectives, is rolled out over over 1200m2 of exhibition space and divides the show into six chapters: These question, among other things, the so-called “deep time”, political dimensions and biological aspects of time. Furthermore, participatory formats invite people to exchange ideas about innovative future models: An offer that is as attractive as it is urgent, society is constantly debating how it will still be possible to ensure the survival of the planet and its inhabitants in the future - and how much time we still have left for it.
