QUE MIRAN (2023) translates to “what are you looking at?” While many of Moreno’s works depict platonic femmes, QUE MIRAN exhibits a queer couple catching the attention of the male gaze. Hard stares and earrings with “Chinga la Migra” and “Not Yours” gaze directly back as if to say, “This isn’t for you.”
